Reformation. Conditions of its rise and common features of reformations' growth.

The thesis traces the beginnings of these reformation movements: Waldensians, Hussites, Unity of Brethren, Lutherans and Anabaptists. It also deals with the situation in Roman Catholic church since all the movements spring out of it. Furthermore the author is answering the question whether these movements have a common denominator, that links them together. This thesis deals with history of the Anabaptist movement particularly in the first half of the 16th century. It describes religious and social life of the movement, including differences among particular Anabaptist communities. In individual chapters, special attention is devoted to communities in the Habsburg Monarchy, especially in the Czech lands. The text includes also brief biographies of important members of the movement.
